Visa credit cards offer the ‘Verified by Visa’ service to ensure online transactions are conducted with reduced risk to both the vendor and the customer. Visa have additionally introduced the ‘PayWave’ service, goods can be paid for by waving the card over a terminal without actual contact.

What else should I know about Visa Credit Cards?

  • The PayWave service only applies to transactions up to £10. Those over £10 will be subject to the usual PIN verification payment method.
  • Visas full range incorporates the Classic, Gold, Platinum, Infinite, Electron and Plus cards.
  • Electron cards require electronic authorisation at the point of sale and will often be refused by online vendors.
