Sainsbury's Bank, now trading as Sainsbury's Finance, is a joint venture between J Sainsbury, the leading UK food retailer and HBOS, the fourth biggest banking group in the UK. Sainsbury’s was the first major British supermarket to open a bank, commencing trading in February 1997. It provides a range of financial products including insurance, credit cards, savings and loans, and all Sainsbury’s finance products are linked to the Nectar reward scheme.
Sainsbury’s currently offer five different savings products. Their Internet Saver has no withdrawal restrictions and the Sainsbury’s Instant Access Saver allows you to have interest paid monthly or annually. You can also choose from their Direct Saver or Premier Saver, and there is an account for children as well. All are easily accessible with an online service that ensures you can access your account at any time.
