The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (www.rbs.co.uk), was founded in Edinburgh in 1727. It is one of the oldest banks in the UK, and has offices in Europe, the US and Asia. RBS acquired National Westminster Bank in 2000, and it was the second largest bank in Europe by the end of 2002. It is the fifth largest bank in the world by market capitalisation.

RBS offers personal, private, corporate and business banking services. Its personal banking arm includes mortgages, current accounts, loans, savings and the RBS Credit Card.
There are three standard RBS credit cards available, and one student card. The standard cards offer: introductory deals on balance transfer and purchase interest; transfers by phone; and online account access.
