Drivers can earn rewards worth up to 2% of their spending with the new AA credit card.

The new reward credit card from the AA (www.theaa.com) is an attractive option for motorists, offering cash and voucher rewards worth up to 2% of card spending.

The new AA card offers the opportunity to help ease the financial pain of running a vehicle.

AA members can earn one reward point per pound on all purchases, and double points on motoring spending – including fuel, MOTs and breakdown cover.

These points can then be exchanged for vouchers for high-street retailers including Marks & Spencer, Argos and John Lewis, with 100 points worth £1.

Alternatively, cardholders can swap their points for AA services or products at the same rate or better, or for cashback, at a rate of 200 points for £1.

Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services, said: “The cost of motoring is constantly rising – not least the price of fuel – and the new AA card offers the opportunity to help ease the financial pain of running a vehicle.”

He said the AA’s offering is the “motorist’s card” and a best-buy for AA members.

Non-members can take out the AA reward credit card, but will only earn half as many points per pound.

The AA credit card also offers 0% interest on balance transfers and motoring purchases for 12 months. It comes with an APR of 16.9%.
