Eskimo Loans are provided by Northern Rock, the fifth largest mortgage lender in the UK and the largest financial institution in the north east of England. Northern Rock Building Society was formed in 1965 and became a public limited company in October 1997.
With an Eskimo loan, you can borrow anything from £1,000 to £25,000 over one to ten years. It offers an Express Service, which means the money can be transferred into your bank account on the day it is approved. Eskimo loans have a fixed interest rate, allowing better budgeting.
An online application for an Eskimo loan takes about 10 minutes to complete. You will be notified of Eskimo’s decision within two working days. If it is approved, your documents will be sent the following day. Once Eskimo Loans has received your completed documents, the money will be transferred into your bank or building society account.
With the Express Service, your funds can be ready to use the same day, but there is a charge of £35 for this service. If you choose the alternative BACS option, your funds will be in your account within a week. Eskimo Loans will not charge you for repaying your loan early.
