What are cash back credit cards?


Cash Back Credit Cards reward the holder with a cash payment each time the card is used.

What else should I know about cash back credit cards?


  • Introductory offers are usually high, but some drop considerably once the promotional period has expired.

  • Most cash back cards have payment ceilings on the amount of cash back available from purchases.
  • The reward payment method differs between cards. Some card issuers pay you at the end of each calendar year, while others dispatch monthly cheques.
  • Only those with a blemish-free credit history will successfully apply for a cash back credit card.
  • Make sure you clear the full balance each month, or any benefits of the cash back you receive will be wiped out by high levels of interest.
